Voices From the Edge at Tecoma Uniting Church

Voices from the Edge events seek to celebrate difference and offer opportunities for people, who have been marginalised, to be heard and seen. This first event will foster important conversations and ongoing connections within our community and enable local people from the LGBTQIA+ communities to share stories about their experiences. The event will include musical performances, artwork, poetry, drama and facilitated discussion between artists and audience. We welcome you to attend, enjoy the program and ask questions that help you understand more. You may hold strong opinions, you may be confused, you may just want to know how to be an ally.

In 2025 we hope to codesign more events focussing on living with disability, being young and facing life issues and living as a First Nations person in our community. These powerful events move marginalised voices to the centre for a brief time and we hope they will inspire ongoing conversations, connections and changes for all who participate.
