The Rhythm Expedition 2

Location: The Fat Goat, 2 Morris Rd, Upwey, VIC.

The Rhythm Expedition returns for a sunny (hopefully) summer edition. Join us on Saturday, 6 December at The Fat Goat as we dive into another musical journey. Each event explores different musical tastes, and the last one was absolutely deadly.

The decks will be in the window from 3pm, then we’ll buzz inside once the sun dips. Expect vinyl DJs spinning reggae, funk, afro and house all afternoon and evening.

There’ll be local artists selling their creations, a well-curated selection of records from Captain Stomp, and food options to keep you fed. The Goat crew will be pouring epic beers and cocktails as always.

Karl Brady 

A musical alchemist, made in Ireland, and now newly settled in the Hills. A wizard of wax that loves to play music unhinged from genres. A master of performance and a gift to dancefloor, constantly leaving audiences energised and inspired. A true Djs Dj; Verified party material.

Amy B

Local DJ Amy B delivers uplifting classic house with the passion of someone who lived it the first time around. Emerging from Perth’s underground scene, she cut her teeth crate-digging for soulful gems on Strictly Rhythm, Nervous and King Street, hosting a weekly radio show from ’94 and playing clubs in the vinyl era. Today she brings that history forward in warm, familiar classic house sets that feel right at home in your favourite local.

Cliff 

Old-skool techno DJ and mad vinyl fiend Cliff (3MDR’s Cliff’s Edge, Subsonic Bass Therapy, Harvest of the Phoenix) is a pillar of the Hills music community and the host of many legendary parties. This time he slows things right down with trip hop, leftfield, disco and funk—immersive soundscapes, rich textures and soothing rhythms guaranteed.

Dj Noktun

A decade deep in the Hills scene, Dj Noktun comes armed with a mix of reggae, funk, jazz, hip hop, breakbeat, and D’n’B. Expect heavy grooves and sharp selections.

Robbie Ryan

A long time DJ and the driving force behind Rhythm Expedition, Robbie has spent decades shaping dance floors across Europe and Australia. Now firmly planted in the Hills, he’s fuelled by bringing the community together—with a deep love for the Hills and the Fat Goat. Known for instinctively reading a crowd and crafting the right selections, Robbie’s sets and events are built on connection, atmosphere and pure good energy.
