Music Victoria in the Hills – Marketing & Artist Management

Music Victoria in partnership with Yarra Ranges Shire Council, Cardinia Shire Council, 3MDR Community Radio and Burrinja Cultural Centre are excited to reveal the 2024 Professional Development in the Hills series.

The music industry can be a highly complex sector with emerging musicians and industry workers often struggling to develop their skills and network effectively. This is particularly felt for those based outside of metropolitan areas, with our upcoming series aiming to address this gap and unpack the ingredients for success.

Over three weeks, Professional Development in the Hills will explore marketing, artist management, radio, APRA royalties, booking live shows and securing funding. The series of workshops will put participants in the best position to improve their skills, gain new knowledge, and create opportunities for future collaborations with industry professionals.

This session will focus on the fundamentals of marketing and artist management and will feature speakers Genna Alexopoulos (Super Duper), Catherine Burton (Bolster), Xani Kolac (Self-Managed Musician), Cara Williams (Slow Clap).
