The AGE has called Nick Charles “Australia’s virtuoso of acoustic roots and blues”.
During his acclaimed career, Nick has released sixteen albums on Australian and US roots music including his new release Further Down the Line.
He has toured with John Hammond, Guy Clarke, Ralph McTell, Robyn Ford, Junior Wells and Taj Mahal and performed more than 300 shows in the USA, played every major Australian festival, city and town in every part of our country.
His music is a truly eclectic mix, including blues, folk and country. Along the way there are stylish nods to the Great American Songbook and the finest contemporary players and composers. His songs and stories reflect a lifelong journey on the world’s musical highways.
Nick’s many accolades include Port Fairy Folk Festival Artist of the Year, AGE Blues Album of the Year, twice winner of the Australian Song Contest.
