Vale Ann Creber

We have some very sad news to share, that one of our own passed last week. Ann Creber was part of the 3MDR family for over 13 years and will be sorely missed – she touched the lives of many in this community with her huge creative talent, her relentless hunger for knowledge, and her enthusiasm and support for independent artists.

On May 1st we broadcast the finale of Ann’s 13 year long show The Good Life. You can listen back online to Ann and her long time collaborator John Weeks speaking with many special guests and reflecting on the incredible history of this much loved program here.

Each month (the last Monday of the month), Ann Creber (with John Weeks) explored and shared many aspects of ‘a good life’, including book reviews, author interviews, film previews, jazz reviews, art exhibitions, music events and live music. Ann has spoken to such a wide range of guests ranging from psychotherapists, wine and food experts, health professionals, the occasional Masai warrior (!) and local business owners.

On June 26 at 3pm, John presented a tribute to Ann on his new Kaleidoscope radio program. John says, “It was a joy to assist and co-present with her on her radio show, The Good Life, broadcast on 3MDR 97.1 FM, for over 13 years. We worked well together on-air. I will cherish those memories with fondness, and knowing that we gave listeners great entertainment.” you can listen back to John’s broadcast here.
