Record Store Day 2025

We’re back for 2025 with our great buddies The Fat Goat & Captain Stomp Records!!!

And your opportunity to spin some records at either, or both locations, is back too with the famous “You Goat Vinyl” DJ spinning sessions!!

The 20 minute sessions will run in Captain Stomp Records in Ferntree Gully from 10am to 7pm and at The Fat Goat in Upwey from 2pm to 11pm to celebrate music on vinyl in both locations.

You can sign up for a session on the booking forms at both The Fat Goat and Captain Stomp Records, so head in and chuck your name in a spot!!

Don’t miss out on participating in this fun event for Record Store Day, there was some amazing music played last year.  You don’t have to be an experienced DJ to spin your records; there will be a seasoned expert from 3MDR on hand to show you how to use the decks at Captain Stomp and the Mighty Morgs will be hanging out at The Goat.

Just sign up to your preferred 20 minute slot and bring your finest selection. On average you’d need around 5 songs.

Bring your mates and have a browse through the vinyl racks at Captain Stomp Records, where there will be a selection of the limited edition vinyl records being released for RSD 2025, and only available in independent record stores. There will also be a selection of Captain Stomp’s vinyl records at The Fat Goat in Upwey as well, to help celebrate all things music and independent record stores.

Saturday 12th April kicking off from 10am in Ferntree Gully and 2pm in Upwey. It’ll be a cracking day, even if you don’t spin, listening to everyone’s tunes
