New Show Alert ~ Time Traveller

3MDR is so pleased to announced a new program with a long family connection. Tom B, son of the late and much missed 3MDR broadcaster JB, will be taking the reigns on 97.1fm every Saturday evening from 8-10pm. Make sure you tune in! And read on below for some words of introduction from Tom:

Hi everyone, my name is Tom, I’m 30.

The Time-Traveller 

My connection with 3MDR was when we lived in the Dandy Ranges – I first started coming along with my Dad (J.B) To sit in on his program and was allowed to spin a few tunes,& go on air to speak- Over time I became more confident in public speaking with my Mum & Dads help & ongoing support, I then got interested in producing/hosting my own radio show on Community radio..

I then started training with 3MDR in 2025 – Then I completed my training and now I have a time slow weekly on Saturday nights 8-10pm!

My show consists of music from all different countries, genres, & I will be playing tunes from the

Past, Present, and Future….

60s Music all the way through to Top of the Pops .

The Show will feature Motown, Northern Soul and Reggae music as well .

And the occasional bit of British comedy and humour,
