Ben
3MDR President Ben Langdon is a singer-songwriter and Arts Programmer originally from the Dandenong Ranges. Through his bands The Bean Project and Grand Baxter he has performed at Port Fairy Folk and The National Folk Festivals, showcased at Folk Alliance International, won the FAA’s Young Folk Act of the Year award, and embarked on numerous national tours. He regularly performs around Melbourne and the regions, and is currently working on a new Grand Baxter EP.
As an Arts Programmer Ben has worked at much loved venues such as Wesley Anne and The Skylark Room, and currently works at Burrinja Cultural Centre on their ‘Live in the Lyre’ and ‘Live on the Lawn’ programs, with recent highlights including shows with Ralph McTell (UK), Xani and Minor Gold.
Ben has a strong passion for songwriting and supporting young musicians to create original music. Ben also has a passion for exploring the outdoors, cards with friends and the Bombers.
