Bealy takes the last exit on the Roundabout – Thursday 23rd June 2022
Written by 3MDR on June 23, 2022
After 20 years of broadcasting on community radio 3MDR, Bealy exits the Roundabout for the last time on Thursday 23rd June.
Graham “Bealy” Beal joined 3MDR as a “fill in” presenter on numerous shows before landing a Saturday afternoon timeslot with his own show called Roundabout.
Some years later, Bealy moved across to his current timeslot on Thursdays 5-7pm.
Bealy has a real passion for music and the environment, particularly birds of the feathered variety. Each week, Roundabout featured interviews with ornithologists, environmentalists, social justice workers and musicians.
In addition to dedicating volunteer hours to prepare, produce and present Roundabout each week, Bealy has assisted 3MDR’s operations with stints on the Committee of Management and has always been willing to help out at events and local festivals
Thank you Bealy for your enormous contribution to community radio 3MDR over the last 20 years. You’re a treasure to the Mountain Ears and will be missed!!!
We wish you all the very best for the future, safe travels and enjoy catching up with your mum in the UK.
May your dog be with you.
