Tash
3MDR Committee of Management member and ‘Out of Sight’ presenter Tash grew up around the foothills and always longed to be up on the Mountain. The dream became reality 20 years ago when she moved to Tecoma. She discovered that the Hills are alive with the sound of music and has lent her voice to local choirs Sweet Sassafras and VoKallista as well as digging the live acoustic scene at the Selby Folk Club. Since the end of the city commute due to landing a very cushy work from home job 3 days a week, Tash can now indulge her hobby of making funky playlists. And even better, sharing them with like minded groovers. Her love is the music from the 70s for the variety and improvisation across all genres, but rock is where her heart is.
Tash lives with vision loss and loves audio in all its formats but radio in particular. “I’ve had a lot of support.” She said, “It’s been quite a process troubleshooting the technical complexity of putting on a show using a screen reader. And I’m so chuffed that everyone has helped to make it possible and I’m now doing my own show every week.”
