Cardinia Music Residencies – NOW OPEN

Written by on March 8, 2023

Cardinia Music Residencies are NOW OPEN for 2023!
The Cardinia Shire Music Residencies program in 2023 is intended to give three local emerging musicians vital industry knowledge and experience to help enhance and launch their individual careers. Through a tailored program delivered by industry professional Daniel Kelaart, each musician will record a new song in Daniels professional studio, perform live at the Hills Hub and have their live set professionally recorded. They will also score a spot at Cardinia’s next Lake Side Sounds festival!
So, are you an emerging musician – individual, band or group, with a demonstrated connection to Cardinia Shire – live, work, study, play?
Are you in the early stages of your career and seeking guidance on the next steps to pursue music professionally?
Three residences will be awarded.  The music mentorships will take place from Monday April 24 – Friday 12 May 2023, where each emerging musician will have four days within this period to work with Dan Kelaart on recording a new song. The three residencies will have access to the Arts and Performance Space at Hills Hub (Emerald) which has new sound equipment ready to be utilised, as well as the mentors professional studio in Officer.
