3MDR’s annual radiothon fundraiser is here! We are excited to be celebrating our shockingly good community with you and we need your help. 3MDR is a not-for-profit community radio station that runs on the hard work, passion and dedication of our staff, over 100 volunteers, and the generosity of the subscribers, donors and sponsors who fund the station…

This is our monster fundraiser for the year and all the subscriptions from individuals, artists, businesses and community groups will charge us up for the next 12 months. Plus everyone who subscribes goes in the running to win one of many electrifying Radiothon prizes!

A little bit about us:

For nearly 40 years 3MDR has provided an independent community voice for the Mountain District area, achieved with interactive local news, culture, entertainment and emergency alerts.

Our presenters are passionate about broadcasting and are actively involved in the community. There is a program for all tastes and interests.  3MDR broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our programming includes music, live performances, news and lifestyle and local community arts and culture.  We have specialist music programs that play everything from blues, country, and folk to indie and classical and we pride ourselves on playing heaps of Australian music content and supporting independent artists.  3MDR proudly hosts a wide variety of community language programs in Greek, Romanian, Sri Lankan, Tamil, Hindi, Croatian, and Samoan.

3MDR’s shows are available live on the FM dial [97.1fm], via live streaming and onDemand and we are also on the Community Radio Plus app. You can listen live or catch up later to more than 60 volunteer created programs each and every week of the year. 3MDR provides an alternative to commercial and national stations, giving a platform to music and issues of social justice; and many people, causes and opinions that may otherwise not be heard.

What impact your donation can make:

$50 pays for one single episode of your favourite show to go to air, supporting your programming passions
$100 will go towards ensuring we have the equipment we need to bring you LIVE local music from Forest Park Homestead to your ears
$200 provides one month’s internet access so you can listen online to shows and catch up onDemand
